Thanks to Simon for this testimonial received earlier. These Clio 182 Cups are still hard to beat for performance per £ and have the same BHP/Ton ratio as a MINI Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW). Another £1000 on 'lite-tuning' of brakes and engine and you would struggle to replace it next time around. In fact I know people who have gone back into Clio 182 ownership after doing the performance car rounds. Because of legislation and heavier safety measures they just don't make new cars like this any more. Whichever manufacturer, the replacements for this era of Hot Hatchbacks have a few more horses, but they are heavier and also use more fuel!
